While in Cortez my wife really wanted to go to a rock shop, and I’m glad we did, it was interesting. The owner was very knowledgeable about the crystals and minerals. In conversation with him I learned that his father created a unique ring for each of the shuttle astronauts on one of the missions. (I apologize I don’t remember the mission designation)
We went for lunch at the Loungin’ Lizard. We tried an appetizer called white chicken chili fries, which believe it or not, tasted like white chili. I had the smoked chicken wraps and my wife had the french onion soup. Both were really good. I recommend this eatery if you are ever visiting Cortez, CO.
After two relaxing nights at Sundance RV Park in Cortez, CO, we headed out Sunday morning to Salt Lake City, UT, to stay for a week, and attend the Young Living International Convention.
